Programme Justification
The Ugandan government’s commitment to industrialization and the growing demand for transparency and accountability are driving the need for qualified accounting and finance professionals. The need to widen the tax base, requiring smaller businesses to file tax returns, further increases the demand for skilled accountants.
This programme addresses this need by providing students with the technical and soft skills for accounting and finance careers. It also exposes them to modern accounting software and research tools used in the industry, preparing them for professional advancement. Additionally, the programme equips graduates with the skills to become job creators, contributing to Uganda’s economic development.
